Another powerful work of the Holy Spirit in our lives is revealing who Jesus truly is. Many believers know about Jesus, but only a few experience a deep and personal understanding of Him.
This revelation does not come through human knowledge alone—it comes through the Spirit of God.
Knowing Jesus Through the Spirit
The Bible reveals the greatness of Jesus through divine inspiration.
“He is the image of the invisible God… in Him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:15-17)
Through the Holy Spirit, we begin to understand that Jesus is not just a historical figure but the Lord of all creation.

Divine Revelation to the Apostles
The disciples themselves understood who Jesus was through revelation.
“You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16)
Jesus made it clear that this truth was not revealed by human understanding but by God Himself. This shows that knowing Jesus deeply requires spiritual revelation.
The Holy Spirit reveals that Jesus did not just die for the world—He died personally for each one of us.
When this truth becomes real in our hearts:
- Our faith becomes alive
- Our lives begin to change
- Our relationship with God deepens
This is not just knowledge—it is transformation.
The Role of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit’s mission is to reveal Jesus to us.
“He will glorify me… and declare it to you.” (John 16:14)
Through Him, we understand:
- Who Jesus is
- What He has done
- What He means to our lives
Declaring Jesus as Lord
The Bible clearly says:
“No one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:3)
This means true faith comes from the Spirit working within us. Without Him, our understanding remains incomplete.

Living in the Power of the Cross
The Holy Spirit brings the reality of Jesus’ death and resurrection into our lives. This is not just a belief but a living experience that transforms us from within.
He also shapes us to become more like Christ in our daily lives.
Called to Be Witnesses
Jesus promised:
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” (Acts 1:8)
The purpose of receiving the Holy Spirit is to become witnesses of Jesus. Our lives begin to reflect His love, truth, and power.
Hope of His Return
The Holy Spirit also reminds us of the promise that Jesus will come again.
“This Jesus… will come in the same way.” (Acts 1:11)
As believers, we are called to wait with faith and hope, guided by the Spirit.
Growing in Spiritual Understanding
Through the Holy Spirit, we grow in deeper knowledge and understanding of Christ.
“Through the Spirit… we eagerly wait for the hope.” (Galatians 5:5)
This journey is ongoing. The more we allow the Spirit to work in us, the more we come to know Jesus personally.
