Understanding True Prayer
Prayer is defined as a sincere, sensible, and affectionate pouring out of the heart to God, through Christ, in the strength of the Holy Spirit. It seeks what God has promised and is anchored in His Word, always seeking His glory and the good of His Church.
Jesus taught us to pray, “Your will be done” (Matthew 6:10), not as a formality, but as the posture of every believer’s heart. Submitting our desires to God’s will is a sign of spiritual maturity and trust.
The Confidence in Praying God’s Will
The apostle John assures us:
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
